We, To Be A Blessing, recognize that there is an ever increasing
diversity of theological views within the Christian community, require
agreement to the following statement of faith by all missionary and/or
ministry organizations with whom we choose to partner.
We
believe that the Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by the Holy
Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is our
infallible and divine authority in all matters of faith and life.
We
believe in the Trinity, that there is one God who exists externally in
three persons -- the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These
three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.
We
believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who became man and
lived and died and rose again to atone for the sins of those who trust
Him alone for their salvation. Jesus Christ is the only mediator
between God and man.
We believe that all persons are
sinners and are totally unable to save themselves or earn or merit
salvation in and of themselves.
We believe salvation is
a gift of God's free grace, and comes by faith alone in Christ alone as
a result of God bringing the sinner to turn from sin (repent) and
believe the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We further believe
that godly sorrow for sin and a godly life are the inevitable fruit of
the free gift of salvation. The Gospel is to be preached to all in
confidence that all who believe will be saved.
We
believe in the personal abiding of the Holy Spirit in every believer.
We believe that the Holy Spirit gives believers the daily strength and
wisdom they need to walk according to His will and to grow in holiness,
and in fellowship with other believers in Christ's church.
We
believe that Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly and bodily to
judge all mankind and to receive His people unto Himself.
