Gary is off to England

Gary's flight is booked. He will be gone for 8 days (I'm not saying when - safety reasons) The purpose of the trip is to meet all the people at Radio Worldwide and to find out about the ministry there and what his role will be.

Now I have to admit I'm a little jealous he gets to go to England without me ;) but I'm so excited to find out what we will be involved with. I will definitely fill you in on all the details upon his return.

Before I forget, God has also provided for this trip. My Grandmother gave us some money for Christmas - it was in pounds sterling - not dollars. So Gary has some money for the trip and we didn't have to pay any exchange fees. Thank you Lord.

Also we have found out exactly when we leave for our training in Fort Washington, PA. We have to be there the weekend of February 9 & 10. Only 6 weeks away!!

Thank you

This is my thank you to those who have anonymously given to us over the last couple of weeks. Thank you for listening to the Lord and blessing us tremendously.

We were given $150 in grocery store gift cards - this has been such a help especially as we have my family visiting for almost 3 weeks.

We were also given money - some is to be used for whatever we need and some is to be saved for when we book our flights.

Thank you again for blessing us this Christmas.

Encouragement for us

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We had a great time.

One of the special things we received arrived on Christmas Eve. It was a Christmas card from everyone at Radio Worldwide. They included their Winter/Christmas newsletters for us to read. It was wonderful to read what the Lord is doing through the ministry that we will be joining next year, but what encouraged us the most was the warm words that were written in the card. The people seem very welcoming and are looking forward to our arrival.

We are excited as God leads us forward to join them.

The surprise is out

My parents, sister and brother-in-law arrived on Sunday evening. We couldn't wait too long to tell them the news about our move to England because I was sure one of the kids would give it away.

So after they came in, we showed them around the house, sat them on the couch and gave them a box to open. Inside the box was the following poem.

We have a secret we've been wanting to tell
We've kept it quiet for two months now

In February we are moving many miles from here
At Fort Washington we will stay for a quarter of a year

From there, a new adventure on which we will embark
Our next stop will lead us to the house at Springhead Park

At Springhead Park House we will live for two years or more
After that, we will see where God will open the door.

So, where are you going? I hear you asking
Turn the page and you may be gasping!

Then I had them turn over the piece of paper. On the otherside was printed our new address with the word ENGLAND at the bottom.

Yes, they were very surprised, even shocked. It was well worth keeping the secret to see their faces.

Today is the day

My parents, sister and brother-in-law arrive today for Christmas. So, we can finally tell them about us moving to England with WEC.

I have kept this a secret from them for 2 months. It's not been easy to keep the secret, but I think it will be worth it just to see their faces when they hear the news.

So long ... farwell ...

It's time to say goodbye....... To the truck!

Well, it's been a tough week. The truck has served Gary well, but he no longer needed it - so it had to go.

It's been incredible watching God being involved in everything, including the sale of the truck.

Gary listed it on http://www.craigslist.com/ on Wednesday and by Thursday morning we had a buyer. They buyer left a deposit and will pick it up on Monday or Tuesday. This will leave it here long enough so Gary can use it to get through the 6" of snow we received yesterday to be able to get to church.

Also this allows us to pay all our end of year bills and pay for Gary's flight to England in January. He will be leaving to assess the situation at Radio Worldwide and see what he needs to do to make accommodations suitable for us.

This is amazing - flights are now $100 cheaper than when we checked into buying them 6 weeks ago. God is definately in the details.

I almost forgot ...

Now this is amazing. Last week we received a check for $111 from a surgery center where Gary had surgery in November 2006.

They said our insurance had paid them more than expected so they were able to refund this amount to us.

Now here is the incredible part - today I had to order Daniel's vitamins from the Pfeiffer Treatment Center and this $111 just about covered the cost!!!

God knew what we needed before we did - and provided.

God's Provision

One of the primary reasons for creating this blog is to give testimony to God's provision for us as we seek to follow Him as He leads us to England.

I know the Bible says the Lord will provide, but it has been incredible to watch Him do so.

Gary had to stop working for a paycheck in October - we knew we had enough money to get us through the end of the month, but we had no more than that.

The Lord has provided. He is meeting our needs in the most incredible ways. All the things he has provided to date are so numerous to mention so I will start with what He provided on Sunday evening.

Once we arrived at Church a friend handed me an envelope containing $115. This was from my Sunday School class who decided to give it to us to help with Christmas. This was truely an answer to prayer as all the money that we have received has been needed to pay bills so last week I asked the Lord, for just a little money so I could buy our family a Christmas present. I was given just enough money.

Then after church we were given a check for $390 which was owed to Gary from a job he did back in September.

Finally, as we arrived home a friend called Gary and offered to buy us Microsoft Word as a Christmas gift. We were amazed as we had been praying that God would allow us to buy this as we were going to need it as we work with WEC.

What can I say - God is GOOD!!

Nicholas' First Solo

Well last night the children performed their Christmas musical (Angel Alert) at Church. I was such a proud mama to watch my children sing for the glory of God. They all did so well.

What really surprised me was Nicholas. I knew he had a small solo part, but had never heard him practice it at home. I found out last night that he can sing - I mean really sing! I had a few people comment to me afterwards that he has a wonderful voice and encouraged me to keep him singing. I hope the Lord will allow us to do that.

Gary's surgery

I had posterior lumbar spinal fusion surgery on Wednesday November 28. I spent 2 nights in the hospital on some heavy duty pain medication and came home on Friday November 30. My recovery is going incredibly well. All of my prior leg and feet problems have been elemenated. I am still experiencing lower back pain that should go away in the next few weeks. The Doctor has told me I can drive when I feel comfortable to do so. I am limited to lifting 16 lbs - this means no lifting Deanna :-( or the trash :-)

The total length of recovery should be 6 weeks. The Pain medication that I was sent home on is nasty. It helps with the pain but it really messes with the mind :-)

Sorry no pictures available for this event :-)

What are our beliefs?

Doctrinal Beliefs

  1. We believe the Bible, the inspired Word of God, is completely trustworthy, speaking with supreme authority in all matters of belief and practice.
  2. We believe in one God, who exists eternally in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe all people, being created in the image of God, have intrinsic value, but as a result of sin are alienated from God and each other, and therefore in need of reconciliation.
  4. We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, is fully God and fully human; He demonstrated God's love for sinners by suffering the penalty of death in their place, rose bodily from the dead and ascended to heaven where He intercedes for His people.
  5. We believe all who repent and trust in Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Savior are, by the grace of God, declared to be right with Him, receiving forgiveness and eternal life.
  6. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will return personally in glory, raise the dead, and judge the world.
  7. We believe all people will rise from the dead, those who are in Christ to enjoy eternal life with God, and those who are lost to suffer eternal separation from Him.
  8. We believe in the Holy Spirit who imparts new life to those who believe in Christ; through His indwelling presence and transforming power He gives assurance and equips believers for holy living and effective service.
  9. We believe the Church is the body of Christ, the fellowship of all believers, and is commissioned to make disciples of all nations.
